Volunteers Replant Fontainebleau State Park
Body:
Spring-breakers and volunteers from across the country descended on Fontainebleau State Park near Mandeville this week to help replant the forest.
Hurricane Katrina ravaged Fontainebleau. According to some estimates, the storm destroyed 80 percent of the trees there.
“We're trying to get in 25,000 trees this week, and we got in about 5,000 trees yesterday,” Jenny Reeverts of the National Wildlife Federation said.
