Hunters show their good side, as well as bad.
Body:
For hunters, September, October and November are the best of times, and the worst of times.
The best of times because hunting seasons are in full swing and, after all, that’s what it’s all about.
The worst of times because the nitwits and “dimrods” (my term for nimrods several grains of powder short of a full charge) who give hunting a bad name are also out in full force.
Every fall, Oregon State Police game law enforcement officers cite people for hunting at night, shooting from a public roadway, trespassing to hunt on private property, taking game out of season and various other violations of state law.
