Louisiana hunters, fishermen and wildlife enthusiasts got the chance to learn more about what they can do to combat the problems of a changing climate during a special seminar Friday.
Jared Mott, grassroots outreach coordinator for the National Wildlife Federation, said there are basic measures, such as using energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs, that everyone can take to reduce the amount of carbon their homes produce.
But because of their knowledge of climate factors and the importance of environmental protection, sportsmen are in a unique position to push for stronger legislation and educate others about environmental impacts.
